I write software for the publishing industry.
At the moment I'm working on a print estimating program for
large newspaper presses.
Installed applications are an Ad number system, an Ad
Tracking system and a number of smaller applications to
support graphic designers.
Filestory (which was sold commercially several years back)
was an editorial sytem written in Filemaker Pro. Filemaker
is a great database tool but has a definite ceiling and
will always be constrained by not having a 'thin client'
available for multi user installations.
It has been re-written and now uses MySQL as the backend.
It should be ready in early 2011.
On a more personal level, I've written a logging program
for triathlon along with a number of health related
calculators.
